My story and forgiveness

Wow, this is going to be quite a tale, a tale that cannot be rushed like a hasty Netflix date. It's a tale meant to be savoured, chapter by chapter, like a weighty tome. This tale is far from over, with countless possible endings, and as the storyteller, I have the privilege of choosing how it concludes.

So far, this story has been filled with unexpected twists and turns. It has encompassed love, sorrow, heartbreak, and tragedy. It has delved into the darkest corners of humanity and reached the highest peaks of ecstasy. There is much to be grateful for and much to forgive in this journey.

Today is a day of forgiveness, particularly forgiving myself. I forgive myself for the moments I judged myself as wrong or inadequate. I forgive myself for the times I ignored my intuition and failed to listen. I forgive myself for being blind to what was happening around me because I was fixated on what I believed to be the ultimate prize. I forgive myself for carrying the weight of the past and for choosing to ignore the cries of my sensitive soul.

Currently, I practice Ho'oponopono, a traditional Hawaiian ritual of reconciliation and forgiveness.

There are various Ho'oponopono practices, but the most well-known is a simple mantra that, when repeated to oneself, brings forgiveness, clarity, and connection to source.

I love you.

I'm sorry.

Please forgive me.

Thank you.
